Extensive sitework and new 17-building apartment complex replaces dated public housing.

The Townhomes at Stonecrest development in Kirkwood, MO kicked off with demolition of existing buildings, re-compacting many of the new slab areas due to unstable soils, and new sewers and drain areas. Financed by HUD, HOME funds and low-income housing tax credits, this 17-building, 85-unit development consisted of 3- and 4-bedroom townhomes, with accessible units as well. Scope included grade beam foundations and wood frames with vinyl exteriors and brick accents on the fronts, new concrete curbs and walks, asphalt drives, and extensive landscaping, including new retaining walls to manage the sloping site. The development also included a new community building and pool near the entrance to the complex.
