41 new homes part of multi-year effort to revitalize a St. Louis suburb.

Once known for abandoned structures and overgrown lots, a neighborhood in the St. Louis suburb of Pine Lawn has undergone radical transformation in recent years. Our first of six phases in Beyond Housing and 24:1 Community Land Trust’s multi-year revitalization effort, Pine Lawn Homes involved two separately financed developments: the construction of 10 new, single family for sale homes and the construction of 31 new, single family rental homes, the later financed in part with low-income housing tax credits. These projects included demolition of abandoned structures, all new sewer and water utilities, grading with MSD amended soils work, construction of one- and two-story panelized wood frame structures with brick veneer, vinyl siding, wood roof trusses, asphalt shingle roofing, fencing, and landscaping.
