Award-winning, urban infill development brings 40 energy efficient housing units to St. Louis’ West End neighborhood.

Financed with state and city funding, Village at Delmar Place involved the construction of 10 new townhome and apartment buildings and a community/technology center. This 40-unit, urban infill development provided a mix of 3- and 4-bedroom rent-to-own townhomes, combined with 2- and 3-bedroom rental apartments and met Enterprise Green Community standards and EnergyStar ratings. Each apartment building included construction of two-story, slab-on-grade, zip wall framed structures, with gabled asphalt shingled roofs, brick masonry, Hardie siding/panels, patio doors, vinyl plank flooring, and energy efficient utilities and appliances. Sitework included extensive soils remediation, surface parking, off-street parking, landscaping, integrated walkways, and trash enclosures. The development received the St. Louis Business Journal’s Building St. Louis Award in the Public/Private Project - Less Than $10 Million category.
