The Paquin Tower Apartments renovation was part of a multi-year plan to renovate the Housing Authority of the City of Columbia’s deteriorating housing stock. The project was financed with Low Income Housing Tax Credits and private financing and included the renovation of a 15-story apartment building, comprising 200 units. Exterior improvements included repainting face and canopy, recaulking windows, masonry restoration, rebuilding concrete stairs and deck. Sitework included new sidewalks to meet ADA requirements, resealed parking lots and reinstallation of an under-slab de-icing system. Interior improvements included the modernization of two passenger elevators, including updates for ADA requirements, new plumbing fixtures, water heaters, flooring, doors, cabinets, appliances, range hoods, exhaust fans, etc. All units were rebuilt to meet ADA requirements.
